Beneficiaries

The TWIG raises funds for Inova Alexandria Hospital, a not-for-profit hospital that offers a full range of health care services to the local community. Funds raised through the Show will be used for The Twig Surgical Center which was completed in 2011. The center includes 24 single patient rooms dedicated to the care of post-surgical patients. From its first gift of an x-ray machine in 1937 to its current pledge for the surgical center, the Twig has contributed over $3 million towards hospital equipment and programs.

The Lyceum Company raises funds for Alexandria's History Museum (The Lyceum), which preserves and presents the history and culture of northern Virginia through exhibitions, public programs and special events. The historic building on South Washington Street is a place for both children and adults to explore and discover the past, and to learn about the lives of those who resided in the area. Funds raised will be used to enhance the museum’s collection of historic materials and to sponsor programs that will facilitate student learning about the history of our region.

The Alexandria Association is the city's oldest charitable group which is dedicated to preservation of historic structures and promotion of the decorative arts. The association will use funds raised to support research and conservation projects for Alexandria's historical properties, such as the Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary Shop, Lloyd House, Lee-Fendall House, and Gadsby's Tavern.
